Our school search engine works pretty much like Google. It must discover and index pages on your website in order to include them in school search results. However, relevancy of your content is boosted by application of appropriate label (business area), either on a particular folder or a file.

What are labels and how can I manage them?

Labels relate to business areas (indexes). If you want to manage labels edit your business areas.

Why mark web addresses as folders or files?

Your website has certain structure, for example:

/ (root)
/english
/english/daytime.html
/english/evening.html
/teachertraining

Now, what happens if we mark the root folder (whole website) as English? Well, all files and folders will be marked as English, even those pages referring to your teacher training courses! This will lower the chances of your webpage being dimmed as the most relevant information. That's where files and folders come into play. Let's see how we should label your webpages:

/ (home) | File | English | TEFL
/english | Folder | English
/english/daytime.html (this file will be included in its parent folder)
/english/evening.html (this file will be included in its parent folder)
/teachertraining | Folder | TEFL

I can't add more web addresses, why?

Your subscription plan determines how much of your site we'll index. If you wish to benefit from the school search choose the appropriate subscription level to make the most of this feature. Here's a quick summary:

Free subscription
Allows you to add 1 web address and mark it as a file. In other words you can select a single page on your website, probably your homepage, and have it indexed.

Basic subscription
Allows you to add 1 web address and mark it as a folder. It means you can have the whole website indexed, but you only be able to apply your labels on the whole site, which looking at the example above will not provide you the best results possible.

Standard and premium subscription
Allows you to index as many web addresses as you wish (please be reasonable!) and mark them with labels of your choice.
